This project is part of my most popular series of abstract artwork created using oil and paint. I began experimenting with this style in 2013, inspired by an experience while cooking a sauce for fish. I observed how small black balls of soy sauce floated in oil at the bottom of the gravy boat, creating a bewitchingly beautiful sight. That very evening, I started experimenting with oil and various paints. The result was my most popular video, "Pacific Light," created for musician Boris Blank. Even now, I continue to work in this style, constantly developing and refining it with each new project.

There is a story behind the creation of this project, highlighting how creative challenges and difficulties often lead to new ideas. Despite my extensive experience in this style and my efforts to develop it with each new project, I sometimes encounter challenges in capturing specific shots or precise movements. This was evident last fall during a commercial shoot in Seoul spanning three days. The central idea was to capture a shot where two colorful balls on a clean, colorful background merge into one large ball. Although it sounds simple, I struggled to achieve the desired shot despite numerous attempts. Colorful balls would burst or freeze side by side, failing to merge as intended. Throughout those shooting days, capturing the merging colorful balls became a genuine challenge. However, it was only on the last day of filming that I finally obtained the required shots, largely due to chance and luck.

A couple of months later, after experimenting with various techniques, I discovered an easy and stable method for attracting colorful balls to each other, causing them to merge without bursting. Mastering this technique allowed me to turn flaws into playful advantages. Instead of viewing bursting colorful balls as a nightmare, I now perceive them as bright and colorful explosions reminiscent of fireworks.
