These are the words belonging to the foreword of Douglas Thomas’s Never Use Futura.
I got beer-inspired while reading the book and I came up with a sloshed idea: the type can.
Time is up for vintage-looking beers which have lost their souls, a long time ago. Therefore I wanted to create a concept beer touched by the most beautiful and zestful typefaces today — Futura, Helvetica, Bodoni and Times New Roman (Baskerville couldn’t make the list, sorry.)
Random inspiration with simplicity —
Beer inspired by typography and typography inspired by beer.
All the concept started to go with a bang! I personally love drinking IPA and Blonde Ale, so I started to combine them with the most beautiful typefaces out there — HelvetIPA, FuturALE, BodoWeizen and Times Lager!
