"Lorca" cafe
"Lorca" is a new registered brand in Turkey that specializes in producing several kinds of high quality roasted coffee, I have designed a complete visual identity for the new brand, and this project is the interior design for the first branch of "Lorca" cafe in istanbul-turkey.
The name was chosen after the great Spanish poet "Federico García Lorca", I analyzed his poems and the inspired visual elements of his poeticness imagination and transformed them into decorated and simple elements affect the first impression of visitors.
The available space has been divided to meet the commercial needs of the project, taking into account the correct circulation as well as the independence of the functions of the various zones: bar, roasting, kitchen, dining zone, outdoor and indoor sitting regions.
Design has a modern, contemporary style with adding a touch that is offering an initial impression of the Spanish surrealist atmosphere which clearly existed in Lorca poems.
I have chosen simple finishing materials like concrete in different ways according to the section for walls and ceilings with dark metal in the corners, frames, and partitions. I created double forms of Terrazzo one of them for the floor mixing with concrete and the other is for the bar surface, I added Cypress oak wood for floors and furniture. finally, the vintage stone above white fine wood in the dining zone.
All furniture has been designed especially for the brand to have the ability to use it in all next branches, The furniture group name is "Contiguous", which made a visual addition by its concept which builds on the juxtaposition of materials within the same surface.
