Brand Identity for a premier women’s health care centre in Melbourne,
The V Institute
/2019/

As a premier women’s health care centre in Melbourne, the V Institute has been helping women of all ages regain their self-esteem and improve sexual experiences. Operated by a team of experienced medical doctors, the V Institute strives to deliver the best in women’s health care while being experts in treating vaginal conditions.

The V Institute needed a memorable Identity that would be both modern, feminine, minimalist, and sufficiently associated with the medical institution. It should be friendly rather than official, but however, still retain the ability to look strict for situations requiring seriousness and trust. On the other hand, the client wanted to be very bold and cheeky in Social Media to show that Vaginal rejuvenation is no more a taboo. Ultimately, the design had to strike the right balance between friendly, feminine softness and the rigorous, sweeping lines associated with the latest technologies.

After a first round of explorations I've found interesting an idea of letter ‘V’ inside the brackets symbol as a metaphor of care and reliability. But I wanted to make it more straight for add a tense between pastel pink color palette and shape of logo. It also should look rather as a cropped 'V' then 'V' with additional typographic symbols. Additionally there was an interesting ability to be continued as a female body.

From the other hand, the client was fascinated by the idea to have a logo based on the ribbon symbol similar to which is often used for the logos of medical institutions and campaigns related to women's health. And we decided to try how the both ideas could work together.

As a Designer with a passion for flexible, changeable, responsive logos and logos-frames that can adjust to the surfaces they need to be placed on, I wanted to explore is it possible to create a logo that will not stretch, but rather change its shape, and at the same time remain recognizable. Like a medical laser, I wanted to cut off everything unnecessary (or maybe just compress the form as a laser rejuvenation make non-surgical tightening), but at the same time preserve the essence, the core of the symbol the same way as a treating doesn't change the woman deeply inside, but visa versa make them feel more comfortable and confident.

All photos used in this project to illustrate the idea were taken from open sources as Unsplash.com, Rawpixel.com, Pexels.com. They could be used as they are or new photographs with similar aesthetics could be made specifically for the project at the discretion of the client.

Thanks Cards
The V Institute gives to the clients Thank You cards on two occasions: when enrolling in treatment — this card gives a discount to a friend who would decide to enroll in the program, and at the end of treatment — this card contains best wishes and motivational messages. It was required the cards have an identical design, but are easily recognized by medical staff so it would be impossible to mix them up whichever side you look at.

Business cards
Business Cards are also have two options: it's a simple card with an appealing cover and side with clinic contact information for people who just interested in treatment, and the two-sided card with both the main clinic contact information and name of the doctor and field for specifying the date of next visit for people who are already undergoing treatment.
