Five Days in Prague ...
It's been a long-time plan of mine to visit the spectacularly beautiful capital city of Czechia, Prague. That opportunity came at last when my teen son and I managed to sneak away from our obligations and caught a flight towards a long-overdue father/son trip away.
Despite my best intentions to focus on photographing a different side of Prague that most visitors don't see, it was impossible to ignore the well-known attractions that have made Prague famous and so (overwhelmingly) popular with tourists. In order to have a better chance of photographing old-town Prague without much distraction, I decided to visit these charms early morning from 4am. An obvious benefit of such early rising is the beautiful pre-dawn light that serve to enhance these already beautiful attractions.
Thankfully my son and I did manage to also visit a few off-the-beaten-track attractions (mostly) in the Prague 7 district, which I certainly experienced as a more rewarding experience than only staying in the popular Prague 1 precinct.
Five days is certainly too short to get a well-rounded impression of everything Prague has to offer, but this short visit certainly served to impress upon me another visit in the near future
