I created this project in parody for the upcoming/recent premier of Rocketman movie. I had the idea for the illustration after seeing coin operated children rides outside of super markets and wanted to combine it in theme with Elton Johns Rocketman song; a rather fitting homage to a great song writer who loved to dress in extravagant costumes for his performances. 

The whole process of the project was initially sketching out the character design in Photoshop, refining it in several stages and alterations to the character's design. I then proceed to take the final sketches into Illustrator where I finalised the design into a vector, splitting and defining body parts into their own seperate layers to then turn it into a usable puppet. Once I had completed the vector version I then proceed to import and animate a loop animation in After effects and adding addition lighting to create volume to the final design.
