My new series of paper cuts I would like to devote to the Art Nouveau movement. It’s architecture, lattices and stained-glass have influenced me as well as many other artists. It seems to me interesting how the general atmosphere of the decadence gracefulness of the late XIX early XX century in Europe will embody itself in paper. Being completely fascinated by it’s fanciful, elegant patterns, exquisite lines and intricacies I have decided to create something of my own. To challenge paper: will it withstand the delicate motifs of the Art Nouveau.
