IDM PORTFOLIO(2019)
REFLECTION THROUGHOUT THE SEMESTER:
This semester, I learned a lot of things during my time in FUTURES IN INTERACTIVE DIGITAL MEDIA and PROJECT MANAGEMENT (DV). The class made me realize that if this is what I want to do in the future, I got a sneak peek of what would be happening. If it wasn't for DV, I wouldn't have been able to take the first steps into applying for post-secondary schools. There were these programs called Toonboom Harmony and Toonboom Storyboard that I've never heard of or had any experience in. Getting to learn these programs despite the high learning curve has made me feel accomplished. In DV, we had workshops every month which frequented here and there. I thought these workshops were amazing as there were amazing people who were featured in them. There was a point when I was getting tired of workshops since all I wanted to do was work on my project. My group is a fun team to work with and I'm lucky that we had minimum conflicts whether it was about the story or workload.
The hardest time I had in DV was the last week and a half we had before the IDM Showcase, dubbed as "crunch time." Workload was being pushed around here and there, to top it off, I had my part-time job to attend to from Friday to Sunday. Thankfully, my group pushed through and we helped each other out when one would be falling behind. DV was such an amazing experience and I can't wait to go back again in September to work on a new project. With knowing the experience I had working on this project, I hope I can get some sleep for the next one. :)
