The author of “Why You Love Music” fully integrates the relevant researches on music-related psychology and sociology with profundity and an easy-to-understand approach. The book also discusses the diversity of music through various points of view. We incorporate the music notes into the standard font of the book name, creating a rhythmic design. The winding lines at the bottom of the book cover indicate the staff as well as the melody. In the middle of the layout, concentric circles represent the sonic waves. The use of silver lines creates the visual gradient effect. These lines not only refer to the physical effect of "ripples ", but also to symbolize the influence of music on psychology. Meanwhile, they are paired with the gradient design of the book cover of "How Music Works" to unite the design concepts of this book series.
《好音樂的科學II》的作者以原創且深入淺出的方式，充分整合了音樂相關的心理學與社會學的相關研究，藉由音樂的各面向不同角度，探索各種多元的可能性。我們在書籍名稱標準字中融入音樂的音符，打造出具有韻律感的書名設計，封面下方蜿蜒曲折的線條除了暗示五線譜外，也製造出旋律的高低起伏，並在版面中間以同心圓創造出「聲波」的意象，利用特色銀油墨將層層不同粗細的線條印刷出視覺的漸變感，不僅擬仿了「漣漪」的物理作用，也象徵音樂對心理的影響，同時也呼應《好音樂的科學 I 》的幾何漸層手法，延續《好音樂的科學》書籍系列在封面視覺上的設計脈絡。
