Formation of the Borderland

Research into the English and Welsh border in Hay-on-Wye, and the adjoining village of Cusop in England, led to the formation of a layered and hierarchical model of how the border operated which I referred to as the Borderland. People in Hay-on-Wye and Cusop were responsible for bleeding and stretching the border to their needs along these layers explained below. This bleeding was not acknowledged by the current political systems operating in the area and this is what I set out to change.
