How hard is to find an apartment in Berlin?
Besichtigungstermin! is a temporary art exhibition, which aims to open a dialogue about the housing crisis of metropolitan areas in a 20 square-meters room in the unaffordable neighbourhood of Friedrichshain. A district that has been already changed, raising a big question for the future of Kreuzberg and Neukölln. People from all over the world are migrating in the fast-growing and promising capital of Germany, leading to a huge demand that disorganises the housing structure. Contemplating the big number of short-term rental options and the rising prices of residential areas by real estate companies, brings up a big headache to everyone who is looking for an apartment. Besichtigungstermin! is part of UrbanCrisis 2020, an ongoing art project by The Krank, which exams the deterioration in the condition of modern urbanisation through humanitarian perspective.
