The Piyingar/ Pinguguoh (priests) summons the spirits while circling around the Bawal (altar) in the Nyigar Bilayar (Gawai ritual ceremonies) together with the Dayung Borih (priestesses). This is intended as a medium of transportation for the semonggi i’eng podi (souls/spirits of the paddy) to voyage across another realm with their ancestor souls/spirits."
