The Gawai ritual ceremonies in the Sarawak area, pigs will be sacrifice as an offering to the spirits of the forest. These sacrificial ceremonies are done, in order to please the spirits in a village. Other offerings are done to attract familiar ancestor spirits, and spirits that brings good fortune to the villages. Mandau / Parang Ilang is the traditional weapon of the Dayak people of Borneo which the motifs inspire from the nature.
