The lunch box is a well-known product, embedded in a rich context that is defined by tradition as well as pragmatism. The typical tiffin dabba is a set of three containers to transport lunch. The lunch box is a very special object as it holds immense emotional and sentimental value.
However in the future various influences, such as changing food culture, globalization, health policies, transportation, and digital communication are likely to change the way we use a lunch box, it’s importance or simply it’s structure. The workshop was intended to map these mega trends, which define the future and study their impact on value interventions such as a tiffin box through different value and trend mapping tools.
