FI 500 THROUGH THE OWNERSHIP LENS
Over nine years from 2010 to 2018, the total revenue of Fortune India 500 companies rose more than twice—at a compound annual growth rate of 9.1%. The revenue share of private companies, which comprise about 75% of the list, has grown from 54.8% in 2010 to 59% in 2018, while that of government-owned firms has fallen from 40% to 34.8%. The revenue share of foreign companies, whose number over the years has been in the range of 45-54, has risen from 5.2% to 6.2%. BY RAJIV BHUVA
