Škoda KITE - exterior design

Škoda KITE is a concept of electric car for Škoda. It is a result of teamwork, a part
of project Fit 2 E-Car - a cooperation between my school (Department of Industrial Design, FA STU) and automobile producer Škoda Auto
I was working on exterior design during my internship at Škoda's design center
in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic in Spring 2012.

music: Air - La Femme D'Argent
The package given by Škoda included drive type, dimensions, wheel sizes, number
of passengers (2+2) and few other characteristics.
Our goal was to create a design for an electric car that would represent the character
of ecological and agile drive, that would be attractive and iconic and at the same time recognizable as a part of Škoda brand. Design of Škoda KITE is inspired by dynamic aesthetics of sport kites.
One of the unique features is trunk opening system. Durable textile reinforced with flexible construction allows not only practical partial opening, but also expansion of the trunk space.
The car was designed in close cooperation with enginnering students who designed chassis and powertrain, providing 55 kW of power and up to 250 km range.
