Triple
A personal interpretation of the word 'triple' and it's associated letter forms.

Apparently good things come in multiples of threes. For example the Triangle, loved by designers, it also happens to be the strongest geometric shape available. Then there's Primary Colours, RGB and of course where would any expert photographer be without the rule of thirds.

Then there's The Rule of Three, a writing principle that suggests that a trio of events or characters is more satisfying, or effective than other numbers. The Latin phrase "omne trium perfectum" (everything that comes in threes is perfect, or, every set of three is complete) also conveys the same idea as the rule of three.
This project forms part of a series of type and image explorations. These conceptual and visual experiments aim to discover boundaries and limitations of design, legibility and communication of a single, randomly generated word. What's the difference between communication and legibility, how far can words and letters be pushed without losing meaning, how hard will an audience work to understand a message? All questions I aim to explore in this ever fascinating, ever changing subject of graphic design.
