About curator :
Kuwaiti - Dutch curator Mo Reda has worked previously in Bahrain. He cofounded the Alwan338 festival and was the artistic director the festival that was launched during Spring of Culture 2012. Part of this festival was the exhibition of “I am the Other”, which was designed and curated by Mo Reda himself. 30 artists from Bahrain participated in the exhibition of “I am the Other”. This exhibition was a major contribution towards Bahrain’s contemporary art scene. For this exhibition, Mo Reda worked closely with the 30 artists to coach them into the concept and mentor them as they produced new works. Many Bahraini artists presented strong works as a result of their accept of the challenge Mo Reda presented them with. In an attempt to create a new event that will be launched during the Spring of Culture 2013 in Bahrain, Albareh Art Gallery and ABCAD Art Space would like to collaborate with the Dutch curator/artist to make this event a reality.
