First ever intricate illustration

Ever since I started illustrating I remember just telling myself that minimalist, quick strokes was my style. It still kind of is but what I realised is this thought process became a sort of comfort zone to not attempt detailed illustrations. Either I was too worried about the end result or just lacked patience. Probably the first reason.

Its evident by now that Sabyasachi Mukherjee is one of my constant inspirations. And I feeling awestruck seeing this one particular wedding dress shot against a pitch black backdrop. I almost feared to draw it feeling I wouldn't do justice to it.

Several months later I went for it. There is so much that can still be improved all over but I'm pleasantly surprised at the outcome and most importantly felt happy about just trying it.
