House 12x8
Located in a 2000 sqm site - where already exists a main house and a leisure area built - this new construction is a compact home, composed by interconnected spaces and 3 dormitories. Designed on a regular 4x4m grid, the project takes advantage of a large existing tree on the site that marks the main access of the residence. The blue windows and doors are original wood pieces from the 1970's which were reused from the main house renovation, giving a unique old-modern style to this project.

Being a compact construction, each square meter needs to be functional, so the house was designed without corridors. The only space used for circulation is the metal staircase that gives access to the 2nd floor. Located under a skylight, the stair stands out even more
at noon when is directly illuminated by the sun.

Distributed on 84sqm, the first floor is composed by social spaces (kitchen and living), service (laundry), plus two semi-suites and a guest toilet. The living room has been strategically designed with 4m high ceilings, fundamental to increase the sense of spaciousness on a compact ambient. This place also has generous openings that contribute to increase the natural light that permeates the house’s interior after being filtered through the tree's foliage. The living room and the kitchen shares the same space and connects to a private deck outside, completing the social part of the house. The second floor, with 32sqm, houses only the main bedroom plus an open terrace where you can relax and enjoy the view.
