Expo 86 World Exposition: I designed a partialy functional mock up of a one atmosphere space suite. Great project working with scientist and engineers at the Huston Space Centre Nasa and working with special effects people for 10 months to fabricate our suite and film a 1/50 scale model at Apogee studios in Van Nuyes, (LA) California. Spent my days off in aircraft junk yards!
I worked with a great team of special effects design & build shop located in Montreal. The suit was also constructed as 1/50 model for stop motion filming. Spent a month in Van Nuyes, California working with a film studio, exploring the coast and every aircraft junkyard I could find!

The Americans were showing the soon to be built space station, the Russians were showing their Soyuz space ships & rocket technology, I designed Canada's space arm as a functioniol hydralic working copy and a "one atmosphere" hard shell space suite. We had our own "space race" taking pace this international exposition!
Beyond a Phone App, it's a self-analysis tool

Some things are more useful than a phone .......how are people perceiving you?

It's confirmed Canada's DOD is spending big dollars on a a secret program for shore based fast response  light vehicles, what kind has not been disclosed? I suspect these are all terrain vehicles with tracks changable by season. These vehicles gather reconnassance and communicate with patrolling aircraft monitoring incursions into Canadian territorial waters on or below the surface.

Gaurding Canada's North West Passage: A conceptual shore patrol recon vehicle.
One of 4 new projects all based on verticle take off and landing. This craft is inspired by todays new aircraft designs and emerging technologies. The next projects have direct commercial applications, very exciting!
The devil is in the detail.
Canada had the most sophisticated fighter jet in the world, the Avro Arrow. What might it look like today?
Proportions, centre of gravity, lenght, width, double engines, stealth considerations such as surface clutter & undercarriges concealed weaponry to avoid radar evassion. The oval wing design is a funcionally proven principle. What it gives up in a radar signture makes up in superior munuverability including the added front wings to facilitate ultra sharp manuverability and evassive actions. Masking engine heat hasn't been addressed fully with in these sketches. A mission critical requirement with any next generation fighter aircraft.
Moving the radar to the top wong section create more capacity for radar evasive equipment or other mission specific equipment. The central located radar provdes a true 360º coverage.
It took 3 T-Rex characters to create this image. Note the closed mouth and cleaned teeth. I used images from a small puppy dog eyes and enlarged the Rex's eyes by at least 60% to give him a frendly charm and personality. Let's challenge the staus quo this creature, why always make him raging angry...

Concept prototype: The Dell Computer Cafe; Order your coffee and let's build your computer like ordering a custom entre without the chainging seats! Booth seating, semi private, comfortable facilitate customer interaction. The other side of the store carries a full array of add ones, upgrades, periferals and latest technological enhancements. Increase incremental sales opportunities with easy access to accessories which carry high margins.

CG artist, Clive Parks did the build on this Foods To Go kitchen I designed it for REY Super Mercado in Panama. I painted and added metal details, people, ovens, etc. in Photoshop .
Travelling around wolrld I make it priority to visit cemeteries. In locations like Switzerland, Bueno Aires, Chile, Germany, Italy to Panama I've visited local spooky haunts or the central tourist desitnation. They are cultural shrines of the community, epitaphs to indivuals passed away, time markers of our century.
But of course, the Englishman and the Italian Cop

What might an expeditionary space suit look like for future exploration. We could combine the robustness of hardshell suits with a woven metalic outerware which is more resiliant than fabric, tear ressistant and puncture proof. Textile technologies can incorporate so much more science and enhance any garmets performance.
Hard shell suits will be more flexible than we think.
Real Estate renderings: this was done in Photoshop. A detailed architectural presentation. Lot's of work.
Better left to computer painters. One guy does the bricks, another the windows and another swoops in with all the trees and bushes. Assembly line style, not my gig!

Construction Coolies happens in any of our large cosmopolitan cities....
I love off world and alien context....

Digital Merchanding... The tip of the tower. Design work for Cadilac Fairview to incorporate multiple customer srevice technologies: find a parking spot, face book, twiter feeds, internal GPS wayfinding & digital wayfinnding, one screen help and enhanced customer security, mall food court digital merchandisings to the parking lots, etc.
