TaxSlayer
TaxSlayer is a tax filing service that has been around for over 50 years, yet still has a very limited brand awareness in the community. As a part of school project, my group chose TaxSlayer as our client with the goal of modernizing their brand voice to create more awareness. Special attention was given to the personality of TaxSlayer. The name itself is indicative to the kind of personality the brand portrays. The idea was that everyone is a taxpayer, but this company would give you the tools to be a tax slayer. With this mantra, the solution used a bold red and white color scheme, alongside confident, yet not aggressive, typography to instill a sense of strong support to the consumer by TaxSlayer. The objective was to create a personality that was encouraging and supportive of the taxpayer.
Cut-out Spacial Advertising

The idea was to portray taxes as horrible and frightening monsters that put fear into the common person; and that TaxSlayer could be called upon to give someone the tools they needed to fight taxes. This element is very strongly called upon in standing cut-out interactive spacial advertising. People could take pictures of their friends and family fighting off tax-monsters at any event where TaxSlayer wanted to be a presence.
Billboard Ads

Alongside the social media campaign and the cut-out booths, billboard advertising would be equally as effective in creating a greater awareness. The target audience for TaxSlayer is the everyday person; thus, the roadside billboard is seen by hundreds (possibly thousands) of people if placed in high traffic areas. This part of the campaign shows TaxSlayer supporting the taxpayer by giving them the armor (tools) they need to effectively do their taxes without doubt.
