American Pop Culture Bills

OVERVIEW
When tasked to redesign any currency I chose American bills. I wanted to achieve a completely new aesthetic than what is currently used. I did this by combining several staples from American culture. I borrowed colors and patterns from the Pop Art Movement. I chose to feature pop culture icons from numerous areas including: sports, music, and movies. I also chose icons that were not white males to include some diversity in the bills, as well as choosing figures that have passed away to avoid from showing favoritism of any kind. Each bill also includes the figure’s name, their date of birth, date of death, and why they are famous.
