CALENDAR 2020 ILLUSTRATION CONTEST
In the occasion of the 2019 edition of the illustration contest announced for the 2020 calendar of Buffetti, I was inspired by twelve fantastic tales of international literature. The theme of the contest was free; the products of Buffetti were asked to be included in the illustrations. So I took a moment, some details, a scene of the tales, and I metaphorically moved them on my desk, replacing the products of the brand with real elements of the original settings.

This is how the whale of Moby Dick took shape from a stapler; the rulers met becoming the blades of the windmill to which Don Chisciotte and Sancho Panza turn their eyes; while some binders lent their side to the ascent of the slope of Mount Purgatory of Dante and Virgil, guided by the rays of a Paradise that took on the features of a table lamp.

Unfortunately, my proposal did not win the contest. It was still fun to reconstruct the scenes with alternative elements.
Both for the sketches and the color proposal I used Procreate on iPad Pro.
