An illustrated travel photo album of holiday
ZigZig.me is an internet technology company based in Venice (Italy), and specialized in geolocation, treatment and printing images.
They are developing a mobile app that recognizes the places where the users take their photos, for example when they are in holiday, and it automatically match them with the illustrations drew for the main tourist Italian cities.
At the end of the process, the users can choose if receive a digital or printed photo album of their trip, with possibility of insertion of Augmented Reality contents.
The album I drew tells about a love story takes place in 50' Rome, and it is inspired by the movies "Roman Holiday" of William Wyler, with Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, and "La Dolce Vita" of Federico Fellini, with Marcello Mastroianni and Anita Ekberg.
I made 45 illustrations, using both traditional (watercolor and ink) and digital techniques.
Here there are four of these:
- the cover, set in front of the staircase of Trinità dei Monti;
- page no. 1, takes place in Piazza Navona;
- page no. 6, in a glimpse of a street of Rome;
- and page no. 18, set in the famous market of Campo de' Fiori.
