NEVEN MANUFAKTURA ETHNO COLLECTION FOR
MFW 2018. MAD MOOD RUNWAY
Neven Manufaktura ethno collection is inspired by Serbian tradition. Leather and wool rugs were common materials in medieval Serbia. Besides material, there are Serbian medieval ornaments that were decorating almost every object in use. These ornament are very specific and important for Serbian culture. They became characteristic of Serbia.
I wanted to incorporate these specific and original materials and designs that symbolize Serbian culture and make a new product that will carry Serbian spirit and tradition.
Besides my inspiration, I also wanted to leave my specific and authentic Neven Manufaktura character alive.
Everything in making of process is hand made. Bag shutter is actually miniature woolen rug that represents big rugs and covers that were used in ancient times.
Neven Manufaktura bags were presented on Milan Fashion Week 2018. on Mad Mood Runway as part of runway show where clothing design was also under Serbian Ethno inspiration theme.
