Hortpark is a botanical garden and very open, so I want to make the open space lobby for this hotel, using a tropical garden theme. I thinking to put a water garden where it is not only use to differentiate the space, it is also make a movement to the space. So taking the form of water itself I come out with a concept “Inconsistency in consistency”.
Playing with the different height of the planter and the lighting, and also the ceiling feature to capture the inconsistency in consistency. Other then that, chosen different furniture for waiting area and lounge area, where as the material still the same, only the different is the color.
The lounge splits into two, one is a lounge with a warm green sofa lounge which is quite private where it places inside and semi close with high windows; you can still enjoy the view of Hortpark. The other one is outdoor lounge with the floating area, from here the visitor can directly see the whole Hortpark view. There is also an island bar in the middle (Section Elevation A-A) where you can enjoy the piano performance as well as enjoying the view and some light meal.
