This Surface Design project required us to explore various materials and come up with innovative surfaces pertaining to our selected theme and incorporate those into a garment.
URBAN BLOOM was the theme that I worked on. The theme revolves around urbanization, industrialization and incorporates elements of the same into predominantly floral surfaces. Some of the materials that I have used to create the surfaces are- Electronic components- transistor, resistor, capacitor etc., Acrylic yarn, sponge, safety pins, sequins, beads, gota patti applique, stones, buttons, metallic yarn, hairband.
