Event identity made for a well known print magazine in Romania that focuses on narrative journalism called Decât o Revistă. Some of the team members traveled last year throughout the country to get to know the community of readers outside of Bucharest.

The idea behind the illustrated identity is that reality and dream mixes together while in a very fatigued state due to travelling for long periods of time. Sounds, thoughts and images combine to form new and weird concepts and surrealist characters. Basing my illustrations on this train of thought I was able to come up with some freaky things by taking well known facts of the different cities where the team traveled and combine them in a loose way.

For instance, Cluj-Napoca, a town in Romania has two streets called Bucharest street and Paris Street. Paris has the Eiffel tower and Bucharest has a sculpture infamously known "the olive on a stake". Or, how the etymology of Timisoara's name, another city in Romania, has its roots in latin, two words that mean fortress on the water.

Two of Romania's mountainous peaks are called "Old ladies" and "Person's peak", two very obvious references in the illustrations below.
