Graphic Designer ruins my illustration for Scena9

Some context: @scena9 asked me do draw some supporting illustrations for the printed magazine. The articles were talking about hate speech and how easy it is to hind behind a screen. But also, how disconnected the IRL is from the digital life of internet trolls.

Anyway, all fine and dandy, I do the work then proudly sent it to my handler, what a good day, right? AND THEN THE GRAPHIC DESIGNER in charge of making the layout, overlayed MY WORK with a BULLSHIT VERTICAL TYPE INTENTIONALLY COVERING THE ILLUSTRATION. Anyway, I'm not holding a grudge or anything but I still haven't gotten an apology or a letter, a gift box, anything, really.
Behold. A marvel of graphic design.
What once was has passed and I can honestly say that I'm fine. I'm not thinking about it several years later. I've gotten my closure, everything is fine.

They later asked me to work on other illustrations for some promotional material that they did for a campaign to win a trip to a big mansion if you bought the magazine. I was lucky they didn't work with that graphic designer from before, otherwise the house would have been completely covered by the title and nobody could see my illustration. Dodged a bullet there.
Yadda, yadda, yadda, pleasure of reading, share books with friends, yadda yadda campaign. Again, dodged a bullet. R.M. didn't work on this specific campaign, so my illustration is untouched. Another dodged bullet.
These last three illustrations are also untouched, and I know I'm beating a dead horse by now, but how lucky am I that "Mr. I'll cover this illustration with my stupid type" has not been part of this other project I worked for at Scena 9.
