Latécoère: Animation on a Plane | Projection Mapping
Latécoère gave us an outstanding challenge: creating animated illusions through projection mapping over a plane structure. With 3D animation, we created an audiovisual piece to celebrate the brand's 100th birthday.
Projection mapping made it possible for us to simulate the piece-by-piece construction of the fuselage and use its surface as a canvas to narrate historical events. Mentioning Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s historic flights to Brazil, when he was a pilot at the beginning of Latécoère; Embraer’s profit-hunters and, of course, a tribute to Embraer founder, Ozires Silva. In addition to telling all these stories, the projection mapping at the end of the presentation was also an asset of the decoration, displaying aerial images of Brazil and France alongside the rest of the event.

Latécoère nos deu um desafio excepcional: criar ilusões animadas por meio de mapeamento de projeção sobre uma estrutura plana. Com animação 3D, criamos uma peça audiovisual para comemorar os 100 anos da marca.
A projeção mapeada nos permitiu simular a construção peça por peça da fuselagem de um avião e usar sua superfície como uma tela para narrar eventos históricos. Citando os voos históricos de Antoine de Saint-Exupéry para o Brasil, quando era piloto no início da Latécoère; os aviões profit-hunters da Embraer e, claro, uma homenagem ao fundador da Embraer, Ozires Silva. Além de contar todas essas histórias, a projeção mapeada ao final da apresentação também foi um trunfo da decoração, exibindo imagens aéreas do Brasil e da França ao lado do restante do evento.
