Most people have at least some knowledge of Salmonella but if this particular bacterial disease has not affected them personally, they usually do not take the necessary precautions on any given day. Salmonella bacteria are rod-shaped bacteria of the genus Salmonella, many of which are pathogenic, and can cause food poisoning, typhoid, and paratyphoid fever in humans. Education and preventative measures are important in the assurance of staying free of this strain of bacteria.
Salmonella bacteria is transmitted primarily through the consumption of raw or undercooked meat or poultry, raw eggs, seafood which may come from a contaminated water source, and fruits or vegetables that have been watered with a contaminated water source. Because of these factors it is often times very difficult to know for certain the cleanliness of the facilities from which the consumer receives their food; however, regardless of that fact, a look into these factors can only serve to help in the prevention of the Salmonella bacteria.
Hey, look at this post... now look at your gut, now look back at this post! Do you like what you see? Tonight I wanted to share this post about portion control with you! As you probably already know we have a problem in, America, with the size of our meals, and we wonder why one in four people are morbidly obese! Well I think it's time we started doing something about it. One way we can fight the good fight is to start eating smaller portions when we are out and about! This was my meal for the night. Yes, that's right, it's a kids meal and it was just right following a work out in the Dungeon. Now I know what you are thinking. A guy my size (6' 2", 240 lbs) surely can eat more than that and get away with it! You are right I could but I choose not to and my heart will thank me for it later.
You see, about 11 years ago, I got my wake up call to change my habits or else! Having a heart attack will make you think differently about what you put in your body. Well at least it did for me. However, this is not about me, this is about how we are going to change our choices, habits and routines for the better so we can be here for our kids, and their kids! It's all about calories in versus calories out
