Identity System
The WPUPC, or Western Pennsylvania Undergraduate Psychology Conference, for over 40 years has been giving undergraduate psychology students the opportunity to present their research to their peers and in 2015, held their conference at Mercyhurst University.
The design brief called for a composition that is influenced by the field of psychology without using clichéd imagery or symbols. My design was inspired by the German Bauhaus art movement of the early 20th century and uses overlapping shapes and lines to guide the viewer's eye throughout the entire piece. The logo I created for branding purposes symbolizes the connection of neurons and is representative of many studies within the field of psychology. Additionally, proposals for alternative logos were created as well as designs for a t-shirt, tote, and buttons.
