FIRSE - ( a self initiated design management project)

The aim of this project was to promote optimum use of materials and resources within the campus of MIT Institute of Design, Pune. Systems and strategies were designed to facilitate and influence people to do the same.
The waste from the campus is dumped in the river which is right behind the campus.
The things that are not immediately thrown out is dumped in a way that cannot be easily categorised for reuse
All the waste - dry, wet and sanitary is all wrapped up in black bags which is then directly dumped into the river.
A lot of purely stationary waste also goes down the black bag and into the river.
Since we all realise this, we thought of making a few initiatives
Another team was setup to do a unique branding for online platform, campaign and the modofying bins initiative.
A flea market was organised at the Institute where people brought down the items they had extra or didnt use anymore. It was all put together in an open space where other people could come and pick whatever they needed.
