YNK - stepstool design 2018
Stepstool from limited wood and technology. The task given to me was to manufacture a DIY auxiliary piece of furniture out of one sheet of wood with the following size limitations: 60x40x4 cm. I designed a minimalist structure in the sense that taking away even one piece of the 12 in total would make the stepstool fall apart as all of the components support each other.

Concerning the layout, I have taken into consideration and incorporated the mechanism of stepping up onto the stool (right foot first, then left).
The title ’YNK’ I have given my stepstool project derives from the letter shape positions of the wooden slats.
I made a 1:1 working prototype with the final proportions and joints. Its material is beech and it has only wooden joints.
