Bob Dylan's "Hurricane" | book design

Hurricane is a song written by Bob Dylan in honour of Rubin “Hurricane” Carter,  middle-weight boxer from New Jersey. Rubin was wrongfully convicted of murder and imprisoned for twenty years. Dylan’s song is a story about the unfair, racist trial that has led to penalty Carter never deserved.
The book Hurricane was created in the Book and Digital Publication Design Studio at Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
Since the lyrics were very literal, I decided the visual part should be all about abstraction and typography. I used ink, charcoal and a scanner to get to the final effect.
