My diploma book project based on 'Light-years' - a short story by Italo Calvino. The plot is focused on Qfwfq, which is the main character. He notices a sign in space saying ‘I saw you’. As he discovers, the words refer to a certain event in his life, that happened two thousand years ago and that he’d prefer to hide.
My project divides reality into two worlds: one of them is cosmic, cold and infinite;
the other is earthy, warm and alive.
All the illustrations were made by me. The cosmic ones were created using scans of a dirty mirror, spray paint and Photoshop. The earth visions were drawn by hand.
