Honda Passport, Aspen Composite Retouching
Here's a look at the final image, but let's go back and see how it was created.
3 images are stitched on the bottom and then 3 images are stitched on the top. Each image is about 12k pixels long side. Each of the 6 quadrants is made up of three exposures. There are a total of 18 still images used to make the initial background composite HDR.
Here is the initial pano. It was 32 bit, floating point, HDR.
The pano was then flipped and motion blurred.
It was then cropped, cloned and color corrected.
The Passport was a brand new vehicle and as so was deemed code red. Therefore, it was shot out at Honda’s Proofing ground in the Mojave and inserted into the aspen road. 10 images are used for car parts and reflections
The car was then inserted and color balanced and the whole image was rotated.
Next the shadow was added and then the paint was color shifted.
Dust, color treatment and subtle refinements were added. Final image dimensions were 33592 x 17075 as this was a super major.
