Budapest – Spice of Europe

Budapest is the spice of Europe. Guests encounter all the classical and cosmopolitan qualities of a European capital city historical heritage, eclectic and elegant architecture, colorful cultural displays, first class gastronomy, and a blossoming fashion and design scene; moreover, the city’s liberating atmosphere constantly stimulates the visitor’s senses. Its “spiciness” derives from the fact that Budapest is full of vitality and effervescence, and we Hungarians use these aspects of the city in a creative way. Just think about the Buda Castle, which hosts an elegant wine festival; the Liberty Bridge, which in the summer becomes a picnic location above the Danube; or the unique atmosphere of the Jewish District. This is accompanied by our piquant sense of humor and the fact that we are able to do the usual things unusually well.

Slogan – Spice of Europe
Ami felhívja magára a figyelmet. Jelentése egyszerű, de mégis több értelmű. A szlogen a város izét, pikantériáját fejezi ki, a metaforikus értelemben vett sokoldalúságot, a fűszert, ami a megszokott dolgokat is képes feldobni.

We wanted a slogan that would evoke an instantaneous, visceral feeling. One that would call attention to itself. It’s meaning is simple, but has many facets. The slogan calls to mind the city’s flavour, it’s piquancy; metaphorically it summons up the city’s versatility, the spice with which it is capable of enhancing even the mundane. The spice derives from the fact that Budapest is full of vitality and effervescence, and we Hungarians use the city in a creative way. Just think about the Buda castle hosting a wine festival, the Liberty Bridge which turns into a weekend picnic spot above the Danube, or the unique atmosphere of the Jewish District.

The slogan is written with a hand drawn font which encompasses human passion and dynamism.
