MuscleFoot (US) - "Heart of Stone" - Album Artwork & Design
Thrilled to reveal this album artwork made for South Carolina’s stoner rock/riff rock/rawk band @musclefootofficial, album which will be released around mid summer next year.
Been waiting for some time to create a “Horsemen” themed artwork and after discussing several ideas with Stuart Mcconnell we decided that is the proper thing to do. It was a bit of a struggle at first to find a right composition angle for these riders but after several days in a row thinking and rethinking ideas my riders finally emerged. Famine, Death, Conquest and War with some custom southern touches. I got a bit carried away with some details, considering it’s a 30cm(11.8in) square and most of them are best to be viewed in its original printed size(12in Vinyl). From the landscape surroundings behind the riders which is an actual existing place/intersection from their hometown, to some other details within the tattoos representing their state outline with its code, trucker caps with their state initials and flag, I tried to capture as much iconic elements from that region, giving it in the end a bit of that raw southern vibe that I wanted.
Would like to thank these wonderful guys for giving me free hand and total liberty with this project. I really enjoyed a lot working on it and sure hope that in the end it’s something that’ll remind them of home.
