Atomic Snowboarding Case Study

ROOTED IN THE ALPS
Based in Austria, Atomic was a dominant player in the ski-racing world but realized the formula that had been successful in the performance sport centric skiing category didn’t work for the lifestyle centric snowboard consumer

REBUILT ON THE WEST COAST
To succeed, they realized they needed to relinquish control, restructure & rebuild the brand with a North American market in mind.

Working with GM Luke Edgar, a plan was drafted using a strong visual program combined with high margins & top-quality product to dramatically increase Atomic’s sales, market share & brand image.

FROM THE GROUND UP
Every consumer touchpoint was analyzed/adjusted with brand exposure & the customer’s overall experience in mind.

A revised logo was more workable into product graphics & easier to recognize at a distance.
Secondary/Model Line Logos

The board graphics were elevated to compete with industry leaders like Burton, K2 & Forum.

Seasonal ad campaigns highlighted amazing talent, featured product & displayed some of the team rider’s personality.
Promotional materials created made Atomic feel like a fun brand who was in touch with consumers & made things they actually wanted.
