Further strengthening our relationship with Chivas Brothers, we were commissioned to create the brand identity for their Scotch Whisky Training Academy – a series of lectures and education sessions aimed at Chivas employees and invited industry guests.
Chivas were keen to convey their expertise in more modern fashion – so we set about creating an identity that treated their considerable heritage in a contemporary style. The geometric marque references the iconic pagodas at their Strathisla Distillery, and the clean sans-serif typeface positions the brand firmly in the present day.
Next was a printed piece that would provide an insight into the world of whisky. We proposed a handy ’field-guide’ style publication that we called The Companion.
Working in collaboration with acclaimed whisky writer Greg Dillon, photographer Euan Myles and illustrator David Sparshott, we developed an inspiring and informative piece that guided users through the story of whisky, the processes involved in its production and the varieties available.
With a tactile book cloth cover, one-colour illustrations, incredibly detailed photos and plenty of space for notes, this is a beautiful introduction to the Chivas Brothers Brand family.
