Bridge is a vision for a service platform designed as an assistant for primary school teachers experiencing curriculum reform in Taiwan to foster lifelong competencies in their pupils and strengthen relationships between parents, schools and students.​​​​​​​

在台灣,從小我們深受填鴨式的教育影響。「成績至上」的教育觀,弱化我們學習過程該有的思考、判斷、感觸、想像等能力。漸漸地,長大後出現漠視社區、社會的表現,我們才發現從小學校的教育與社會發展並沒有交集,因此才誕生了BRIDGE。

In Taiwan, test-driven pedagogy is overwhelmingly prevalent. A long-held belief in the supreme value of academic achievement is overshadowing the abilities to think, judge, feel, and imagine in our learning process. These competencies, vital to our growth as a society, are absent from our grading systems, with no intersection between academic education and social development in our primary schools.​​​​​​​
BRIDGE協助教師更有力推動公民素養教學,搭起老師、學生、家長間的橋梁。透過BRIDGE提供的功能,老師可以任意選擇教學引導模組,結合社會議題於教學內容。
學生透過描繪、觀察、比較、同理、評估、行動等步驟學習社會知識。成果一鍵分享,有效地讓家長理解成績以外的教學重要性。此外,線上教案共享知識庫也成為教師之間的交流平台。

BRIDGE打破台灣教育現況的窘境,創造理解與合作機會。大家一起有信心地培養下一代成為有溫度的公民。


BRIDGE supports teachers seeking to foster these competencies in their pupils and helps strengthen relationships between parents, schools and students. Three solutions were contextual as a result of the research; an adaptable guidance module to steer integration of teaching content with social conscience; a balanced interaction of pupil's performance with parents to ensure key considerations are bridged; and an online platform for creating transformational change in the teacher communities exchanging practical lesson plans and professional knowledge. BRIDGE intervenes in the predicament of education in Taiwan by creating opportunities for understanding and cooperation. Together, we are confident that we can raise a generation of socially-minded citizens with the skills to bring real change.
