This is a proposal for an executive business lounge, occupying an office space at the 20th floor of an office tower. The space enjoys a panoramic view for Al Khobar coast and downtown skyline. The drawback is the awkward angles and unpleasant placements of pillars.

The brief was to design a space to entertain business associates in a chill yet refined atmosphere, with some drinks and the occasional business lunch, As a reprise from the formality of office desks and meeting rooms.

We focused on optimizing orientation and exploiting the views to by manipulating the curved partition. Dramatic perspectives emerged. The space boundaries seem to almost fades into the horizon from certain strategic angles.

A neutral background offsets a range of marble, metal and fabric textures, in chromatic recreation of the desert/sea locale.

A freestanding sculptural partition divides the space into a loung and a dining area. A diagonal grid of frames with double perforated panels, invokes the traditional mashrabiah
