Decided to play around with a game day graphic concept and chose the starting line up announcement graphic for AS Roma. Not my usual area of work, but I kept the train rolling and here's the result, a little background on it to follow.

The basis of the graphic is re-creating the Stadio Olimpico in vector form, I chose the vector style since it's 1) not used often for these graphics and 2) what Roma uses for the player profile photos on their website, as used here. You have the subs off to the side so the announcement is all in one graphic. The announcement is more interactive and shows the line up in a 3D manner with the actual formation. The classic Olimpico scoreboard is featured, as it shows the clubs and some sponsors for a realistic look.The Curva Sud ultras get a shoutout as they're represented by the flags and banners surrounding the scoreboard, the blue represents the seats -- obviously the area is actually sold out on game days. The roof shadow accompanies the far side of the graphic/stadium. The red around is for both the team color and the running track that famously surrounds the pitch. Corresponding sponsors Roma uses for their current graphics are present, and the league logo can be interchanged depending on the type of match being played (Champions League, Europa, ICC, so on). Brand standard is further maintained with the typeface chosen. 

I believe the depth style gives the graphic a unique look, along with the vectors, since most announcements are usually along a single plain with not a lot of action. This gives a crafty look, while featuring the home crowd but not being too complicated.
