CRA - Service Process Design

Project Brief
CRA is an engineering process platform that allows internal business users to view, edit and update their business handshakes and internal processes. The workflow will also allow users to submit the modified processes for approval.

This application is intricate and complex in its very nature of business and hence require a large canvas UI for users to manipulate and edit the attributes of the business processes and handshakes. 

User Group and User Interviews
A very small segment of internal business users who work on their business processes and handshakes across different applications. Users are well versed in their domain and works on updating their processes once every week or two. They also have a need to provide feedback to existing processes, so that the managers can review.

Users are typically business analysts with a college degree and proficient in business applications and can easily grasp technology and business concepts. Users also have experience using similar applications. 

We conducted a few user interviews to understand the current pain points, wishlists and their needs and goals. They shared their current systems and tools which revealed us their daily goals and objectives. These sessions helped us uncover a wealth of information about the complexities, the error handling situations and provides us a clear narrative for the future. 

Design Thinking Drills
Started the project at a 500ft level overview of the users, their wishlists, business requirements, user task flows, task analysis and journey maps.  The white boarding sessions helped us build a comprehensive customer journey map for the key task flows. 

This is a phased multi year, multi release agile project. This is the initial phase of the project and we expect to do lot more user testing and validations and feedback loops to make this a versatile system.
