RESSOMA - PARK BENCH

ReSsoma (Re, from recycling + Ssoma, from chromosome, the shape that the figure evokes) is a set of modular objects with a bench and a planter function. Its design explores Extruplás’ almost unique ability to produce urban furniture with plascer, a material developed by gathering large amounts of plastic waste and recycling it.

A plascer profile different from the ordinary allows a very simple "male-female" fit and ensures a rigid and firm structure. The "L" shape metal profile is a necessary support to bear the weight of several people and vegetation placed in planters. The initial curve may be reversed with a simple inversion of the vertical profile. The sequences of the modules can be drawn tangentially, allowing a wide range of different combinations.
