I created a parallax scrolling website as a presentation for the book The Stranger. This was my final project for Web Design 1 so I wanted to incorporate a little of everything I learned throughout the course (mainly working with containers, divs, etc. to create depth and build a working hierarchy.) Visually, I wanted a somewhat dark, minimalist design that would correspond with the mood of the book (see synopsis.) It would have "made more sense" to use blue, possibly orange, as my focal color, however I felt the green created a better contrast, and I used muted tones to distinguish from its typically positive connotation.
