Mood board created for a band website. My client doesn't actually exist and the band name was generated through the "random article" function in Wikipedia, so all conceptual ideas were completely at my discretion. Having the word "Kentucky" in my band's name immediately made me think "country" and "RED." I wanted to deviate from that concept and create a less aggressive aesthetic. I chose a combination of cool, neutral, and organic colors to achieve a calm mood. I chose a combination of sans serif and monospace fonts and a "flat" design for a modern, minimalist approach in order to support the overall mood. The images are meant to fuse a hometown band vibe with the liberating feeling of a beautiful open landscape.
