The goal of this assignment was to make the transition towards increased automation in
the workforce less daunting. Ana Benitez and I decided to focus on truck driving and the
future technology of self-driving trucks.

Truck drivers are some of the more skeptical people of increasing technology, but we
found that automation could improve this difficult and dangerous profession. Keeping
our audience in mind, we created a system that was half-automated and half manually-
operated.

An important part of our process was mapping out the user journey of a truck driver.
Through these sketches and wireframes, we highlighted points in which automation is
useful and points in which automation is unnecessary or inhibiting.

We built a dashboard prototype to demonstrate both these standard, manual
operations, and an iPad interface to demonstrate the system of automated
interventions.
